Its hard to believe that in a town as small as Hnesville there are people that still have no idea that a Bass Club lives right here in Hinesville. The Liberty County Bass Club currently has 21 active members, with 15-18 of those members owning boats. We fish 12 tournaments a year to qualify for The Federation State Championship. We will fish all over the state of Georgia and once and awhile drive into South Carolina. Most of our members are either active duty military or retired military, for that reason we have kept the cost of joining and fishing with us relatively inexpensive. We are always looking for new members, don't own a boat NO PROBLEM we have so many open deks on the backs of our boats we will get you in the water and on the fish.
Our next club meeting will be held at the City Hall in Hinesville, on March 2 at 7:00pm and we will be fishing the Savannah river on March 4 launching out of Clyo. Come on out and see what we have to offer, for more info e-mail me at tmt1@coastalnow.net

Well I guess there are no bass fisherman out there!!! We fished the Savanah river yesterday, 15 boats and 5 non-boaters talk about alot of empty deck space. The water was 53 degrees and at the action stage, just a half a foot below flood stage. The bite was really slow, seems the fish didn't like the level or temperature of the water. I hooked a 2.30lbs. bass before 7 in the morning and the put a 11 lbs. catfish in the boat at 9 then the bite died and I mean died. The winning weight was like just over 4 lbs. and Tim sure had to work for that. We are fishing at Clarks Hill next month and would sure like to fill up the backs of our boats. Come on out and lets see what you got. Drop me a line at tmt1@coastalnow.net and I will hook you up with a great day on the water.

Maybe you should respect the boards and post things that are meaningful instead of ignorant!

Well last weekend 4-8-06, the Liberty County Bass Club went to Clarks Hill for it's monthly tournament. We woke early saturday morning to find the winds gusting to what I was told was 30 mph. There was talk of calling off the tournament due to the weather. But alas at about 06:30 hrs. we were in the water and off to a wet start. It started raining 15 minutes later and boy did it come down. All in all it was a very productive day, most everyone caught fish, Keith finished in first with four fish for a total just over 8lbs. I cam in second with four fish weighing just under 8lbs. and PJ finished third with three fish and also took big fish honors. Next weekend our club is sending our Top Six fisherman from last year to compete in the state championship. SOme of us will leave on Wendesday night and the remainder will be showing up on Friday morning to prefish, the tournament days are 24-25 April 06. Lets see if we cant get our county into the top of the state teams and show em that us river fisherman can also catch bass in the big waters.
